Measuring cup: plastic material, how to simply identify?

(a) PE, PP, PA, etc. have different bendability, hard wax-like slipperiness to the touch, and soft horn-like sound when tapped. In comparison, PS, ABS, PC, PMMA, etc., there is no extensibility, hand touch has a rigid sense, the sound is crisp when tapped.

(b) PE, PP's relative density is less than 1, so floating in water; most other plastics are greater than 1, so sink in water.

(C) before the dyeing, LDPE plastic particles were milky white off transparent, soft, soft and tough, slightly elongated, easy to bite deformation with teeth. HDPE was milky white, opaque, slightly hard texture, not late extension, can be deformed with teeth call. PP was white translucent, more transparent than PE and lighter, more rigid, extremely difficult to deformation with teeth bite.

(d) PS, HIPS and ABS is mainly the difference between PS brittle, HIPS and ABS for toughness, so in the bending PS easy to brittle break. The latter two are difficult to break, white in the bending parts. It is easy to identify before dyeing; PS transparent, HIPS milky white, ABS showing light ivory.
